

When Promus Hotel Corp., the parent company of Embassy Suites and Hampton Inns, located its new reservation call center in Tampa, the company was concerned about power reliability, especially since it expected the center to handle 7.5 million calls a year.
Tampa Electric assisted the corporation with its relocation plans and also proposed the Standby Generator program. Promus would be assured of reliable service, and would benefit from energy credits as well.
"Tampa Electric offered us a great range of services, including site selection assistance, energy needs analysis and expertise in lighting and HVAC," said Chuck Harmornick, director of Promus' reservation services. "They reinforced our decision to expand our company in Tampa.
