Tampa Electric today announced that real-time information about power outages is available on the company’s Web site at http://www.tampaelectric.com/outagemap.
The outage map, which provides power outage information that is updated every 15 minutes, includes:
- Color-coded icons based on the size of the outage.
- Estimated restoration time.
- Approximate number of customers affected.
Tampa Electric President Gordon Gillette said, “Our team members work hard every day to provide reliable electric service to all of our customers. Unfortunately, though outages do occur, we are committed to restoring service as quickly and safely as possible. This new tool will provide customers with additional information when an outage impacts their area.”
