TECO Energy Sponsors Two Cars, Serves as Official Energy Supplier to Indy 200 at Walt Disney World® Speedway

TECO Energy in partnership with the Indianapolis Racing League served as the Official Energy Supplier to the 2000 DELPHI® Indy 200 at Walt Disney World® Speedway on January 29. The race marked the 2000 season opener of the Northern Light Indy Racing League Series. TECO Energy first sponsored the race in 1999 as an expansion of its long-term marketing partnership with Disney's Wide World of Sports™ Complex. The 12 p.m. race was televised live on the ABC television network.
TECO Energy sponsored TriStar Racing Team cars numbers 6 and 9 driven by Jeret Schroeder and Robby Unser. Celebrity driver and TriStar Racing Team owner Tony Stewart and TriStar driver Jeret Schroeder visited with fans at the TECO Energy Skybox during the race weekend.
