Tampa Electric self audits its power plants, substations and operating facilities on a periodic basis as necessary to maintain compliance with federal, state and local rules and regulations.
Company facilities are routinely inspected by local, state and federal agencies. More than 35 inspections were performed in 2004.
Personnel participate in regular environmental, health and safety training to ensure that employees continue to be informed with current environmental regulations. The National Registry of Environmental Professionals recognized Tampa Electric's training program.
