Q. How much will I get paid for generating energy that is returned to the electric system?
A. In the same way customers are billed monthly for the electricity they used the month before, you will receive a credit on your bill for the amount of electricity your system produced and sent to Tampa Electric’s grid in the previous month. The credit amount you will receive is based on your current retail energy rate. At the end of the year, if applicable, any excess electricity you have generated will be paid to you at the as available rate.
