Q. Why is Tampa Electric offering this program?
A. This program is offered to comply with the Florida Public Service Commission ruling on interconnection and net metering that went into effect on April 7, 2008. The ruling is intended to make it more viable for Florida residents to install renewable generating systems. Tampa Electric supports renewable energy generation and encourages its customers to do the same.
