Demolition Process

The demolition process is designed to ensure the safety of both the public and the men and women of Tampa Electric. To carry out the demolition process, Tampa Electric requires a completed demolition cover letter and application to be faxed to (813) 314-4677.

Cover letter

Application

  • A demolition application is available at your city or county office at the locations listed below. The completed application must be accompanied by the address of the site being demolished (please include the six-digit meter number for the site).

Once Tampa Electric has received your faxed cover letter and application, you will be sent a confirmation letter to give notice of receipt of your application. At the completion of the demolition process, after meters and area lights have been removed, the completed signed application will be sent to the customer.

NOTE: Tampa Electric cannot schedule a demolition if the request is received from the contractor while the customer of record still has an active account. We must first receive a call to close the account from the customer of record before processing the request.
