Q. Why do I need plug-in protectors if I have the Primary Unit installed behind or near my electric meter?
A. The primary unit helps protect major non-electronic appliances including your washer/dryer, refrigerator and water heater. Plug-in protectors help protect sensitive electronics from surges that enter through electric, cable and telephone lines. You must have a plug-in protector for each electronic item you wish to protect. Electronic items include entertainment systems, computers, garage door openers and microwave ovens.
