Q. How long does it take Tampa Electric to install Zap Cap Systems®? Do I have to be home?
A. Under normal conditions, Tampa Electric can install Zap Cap Systems® within fifteen business days of your request. The average installation takes five minutes. It is not necessary for you to be home. If you are not home, the installer will install the primary unit at or near your meter and leave plug-in protector(s) and warranty information in a plastic bag at your front door. NOTE: It will be necessary to momentarily interrupt electric service to perform the installation.
