A. No, Tampa Electric does not manufacture the surge protection equipment used for Zap Cap Systems®. Performance of the system is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Plug-in protectors are manufactured by the following companies: - Belkin Corporation (with 20 years in the business) - Intermatic, Inc. (more than 100 years in the business) - Panamax (30 years in the business) The primary unit is manufactured by Meter Treater, Inc. (18 years in the business). Tampa Electric does not make any warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the performance of Zap Cap Systems.
