Q. What is the joule rating on Zap Cap Systems® plug-in protectors?
A. The single-outlet plug-in protector is rated at 885 joules. The Multimedia and Deluxe Satellite plug-in protectors have “protect or disconnect circuitry,” and therefore have unlimited joules. If a high-voltage surge enters through the electric meter, the Multimedia and Deluxe protectors will automatically disconnect all power going to your electronics.
