Q. There are trees on the power lines that could be causing the power outage I am having. What should I do?
A. Please do not attempt to remove the tree(s) or branches yourself. Contact Tampa Electric's Customer Care center at (813) 223-0800 (Hillsborough County), (863) 299-0800 (Polk County), or 1-888-223-0800 (all other counties and out-of-state) to inform us of the location and a brief description of the tree(s) in question. Tampa Electric will investigate to see if electric power is being affected, and will perform any line clearance if necessary.
