Report a Concern

You may encounter a public safety concern as a result of a severe storm or vehicle accident. Use Tampa Electric's automated system by calling toll-free 1-877-588-1010 to report a public safety concern such as a downed power line, damaged pole or malfunctioning transformer. Remember, to report any life-threatening conditions, please call 911.

Here are some examples of a public safety concern:

  • Unsecured pad-mounted transformer
  • Trees growing into overhead lines
  • Unmarked guy wire
  • Deteriorating pole or other electric equipment
  • Open/exposed meter socket
