The Standard Residential Rate (RS) of 10.071 cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh) used to calculate appliance cost is based on Tampa Electric’s 0 – 1,000 kWh tiered fuel and energy rate. This amount includes the following Florida Public Service Commission approved charges as of May 7, 2009: for fuel (4.799 cents), the base energy rate (4.287 cents), capacity (.541 cents), environmental (.223 cents) and conservation (.221 cents).


Your calculation will not include taxes or facilities charge.
Calculations should not be interpreted as an accurate measure of electrical usage.

Please note that this information is for relative comparison of your appliance usage and may not reflect actual operating cost due to variations in weather, equipment use, appliance efficiencies, hours of operation, home characteristics and your particular rates. Rates shown include the current energy and fuel charges for Tampa Electric's residential customers but do not include any applicable taxes and franchise fees which vary throughout the company's service area.
