Wall Insulation Program

Proper insulation levels in exterior walls adjacent to living areas will help reduce demand on your air conditioning and heating system. To qualify for a rebate, a minimum of R-11 wall insulation must be installed and the existing structure must have electric whole-house air conditioning or heating. New room additions are not eligible for the rebate.

Rebate Amount: $0.11* per square foot of insulation installed.

The rebate is available for owner-installed insulation and work performed by a licensed contractor participating in the program. All rebates will be paid directly to the homeowner.

Acquiring your rebate

The rebate is based only on newly insulated exterior wall areas adjacent to the living area. After wall insulation is installed, submit a Wall Insulation rebate application Secure Form Icon within 90 days after installation is complete. The application will prompt you to upload your paid receipt (proof of purchase). This information is required for rebate processing. If you have questions, call 813-275-3909 on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Once you submit the application, you will receive an enrollment/confirmation number that you can use to access your application. Be sure to write down and save the enrollment/confirmation number. If you have questions, call 813-275-3909 on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

To access an existing application Secure Form Icon, simply enter the enrollment/confirmation number you received when you initially submitted your application. This will allow you to make changes and upload any required files.

*Please note: A home with in-wall wiring requiring air cooling will not qualify for a rebate. This includes knob-and-tube wiring.
