Tampa Electric is conducting an extensive audit of the cables used by other utilities that share space on our power poles. This inspection will cover our entire service area over the next three years. The company has contracted auditors for this project through Innovative Joint Utility Solutions (IJUS) and Davey Resource Group (DRG). The auditors are outfitted for field research with portable GPS equipment they carry on their backs.
All Tampa Electric team members and contractors doing work for Tampa Electric are required to carry photo identification cards. If someone claiming to be a Tampa Electric representative visits your home or business, request to see their badge. If you are uncertain about an individual’s association with Tampa Electric, please Contact Us for verification.
