Manufacturer's warranty

If you are a Zap Cap Systems® customer and have sustained damage to the primary unit installed behind your meter or to your plug-in protectors, appliances or equipment, please follow these instructions regarding the manufacturer’s warranty.

The Primary Unit*

  • If any non-electronic appliances or equipment and/or the primary unit installed behind your electric meter has been damaged from a high-voltage surge, please contact the primary unit manufacturer to initiate a claim.

The Plug-In Protectors**

  • If any electronic equipment, directly connected to a plug-in protector(s) purchased from Tampa Electric has been damaged by a high-voltage surge, please locate the manufacturer name located on the plug-in protector and call the appropriate manufacturer to initiate a claim. Note: Do not throw away the damaged plug-in unit.

**All plug-in surge protectors are the property of the customer after payment.
