Tampa Electric offers customers 'Connections'
TAMPA, December 13, 2001
Tampa Electric now offers a new service for residential customers called Tampa Electric Connections. Customers who call to have their electric service turned on or transferred can now be connected to a trained Customer Service Professional for additional service order requests.
Services provided by companies other than Tampa Electric - local and long distance service, Internet access, cable and satellite television service, and newspaper subscriptions - can all be established with one telephone call at no additional cost.
"We can save customers hours of repetitive calling to establish new services,” said Penni Allison, Tampa Electric’s director of customer services, customer services and marketing. “Since Tampa Electric Connections began in November, more than 350 customers have used the service.”
Customers can take advantage of this new service by calling Tampa Electric customer service at (813) 223-0800 inside Hillsborough County or, toll-free 1-800-223-0800 outside Hillsborough County, and requesting Tampa Electric Connections.
