I am requesting temporary electric service to a construction site. I understand that governmental inspections may be required and that temporary service is available for no more than 12 months.
Note: If you are requesting underground service and are participating in Hillsborough
County's Temporary Underground (TUG) Permit program, you must complete and submit a

The Temporary Underground (TUG) Permit program provides residential contractors with the ability to get a permanent meter installed on single-family detached dwellings, model homes, and townhouses with individual services only, during construction. The program eliminates the need for temporary poles on sites and allows for permanent power to the structure prior to securing a final electrical inspection.
To participate in the TUG program, contractors must have a TUG Agreement on file with the applicable Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). It is important to indicate your participation in the TUG Program when applying for new electrical service with Tampa Electric. Once scheduled, Tampa Electric contractors have 12 business days to complete the installation.
Please note: If, at the time of installation, the structure is not ready to display the permanent address, the address shall be identified on the meter enclosure. TUG is used for construction purposes only until the Certificate of Occupancy is obtained. The builder is responsible for converting the service to the name of the new home or facility owner. The TUG program is available where the AHJ permits its use.
