Update on Tampa Electric's COVID-19 Response.

COVID-19 update – Extending suspension of disconnections for non-payment through July

With the pandemic causing financial stress for some customers, Tampa Electric has extended our temporary suspension of disconnections for non-payment through end of July. This allows extra time for our customers who are financially impacted by the pandemic to contact us and learn about the many options available to avoid disconnection in August. We are offering flexible, interest-free payment extensions and information on assistance available from community partners. We are here to help, and our representatives are available at 888-223-0800 weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to discuss the options available.

It's important to note that we are significantly decreasing your bills – residential customers will see a 20 percent reduction on summer bills, including an estimated $90 savings through December. We donated more than $1 million to help the community and to Share, a program administered by the Salvation Army that helps with utility bill payments. Here's a list of state and federal resources available to our business customers. Together, we'll weather the storm and light the way to a brighter future.
