That’s what happened when Tampa Electric employees came together for their annual Bowl-a-Thon fundraiser for Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay.
We’re proud to support Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay and its mission to prepare young people for success through financial literacy, career readiness and entrepreneurship education. The programs help students build the skills and confidence they need for brighter futures, creating benefits that extend well beyond the classroom.
For the 2026 event, our team members were truly on a roll. Together with their family and friends, Tampa Electric employees raised $15,000 for Junior Achievement, with matching funds from the company’s shareholders bringing the final donation to $22,500.
Investing in the Next Generation

The funds raised through the Bowl-a-Thon will help Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay continue delivering hands-on learning experiences that prepare students for future careers, financial success and life beyond the classroom.
Making Memories – and a Difference – Together
Team members and their families had a “strikingly” good time for a great cause!
The event brought together approximately 130 bowlers across 21 teams, all working toward a shared goal: helping local students succeed.
While the Bowl-a-Thon featured plenty of friendly competition, the biggest win was the impact made possible through the generosity of participants and supporters. Every dollar raised helps Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay continue empowering young people throughout the Tampa Bay region.
By partnering with organizations that invest in education, financial literacy and workforce readiness, we’re helping strengthen our communities while supporting tomorrow’s leaders, innovators and professionals.
