Help for our Customers

Customers sometimes need help, and we’re here for them. We have programs and partnerships that provide utility bill payment support for those in need, and we offer flexible payment extensions to qualifying customers, allowing them more time to pay their bills.

Our Share program helps pay the energy bills of customers facing hardships. The program is powered by our customers, team members and community partners. TECO matches every contribution dollar-for-dollar, up to $500,000 each year.

We also offer dozens of energy- and money-saving programs, from energy audits to rebates, and a Neighborhood Weatherization program for qualifying communities.

Help for our Environment

We all enjoy Florida’s natural beauty. At Tampa Electric, we’re committed to preserving our environment in every decision and action as we serve the community’s energy needs. From our award-winning wastewater treatment plant at our Polk Power Station to our wildly popular Manatee Viewing Center, we’re helping to protect Florida's ecosystem.

We’re investing in solar electric generation, equipment upgrades and technology advancements that optimize our power plants’ efficiency. As a result, we’ve cut coal to less than one percent of our fuel mix, reduced fuel costs for customers and dramatically lowered our emissions, all while generating more electricity to power our growing region.
