Tree Trimming Request

To report tree limbs that may be growing too close to Tampa Electric’s power lines and/or are affecting your electric service, please complete this form in its entirety, including your contact information and the location of the tree(s) in question. We'll investigate and follow up with you.

How it works:

Tampa Electric will trim trees that are growing too close to or interfering with company power lines, which run from pole to pole

Tampa Electric does not trim trees that grow near or interfere with service lines, which run from our poles to homes or businesses. Property owners are responsible for maintaining their trees and helping ensure they do not interfere with service lines. However, we can temporarily de-energize or disconnect service lines so nearby trees can be trimmed safely. To have your service line made safe for tree trimming, please call 813-635-1500 two weeks in advance of your planned trimming.

Only licensed and trained professionals should do this type of trimming, and we urge anyone trimming trees near power lines to use extreme caution.

SAFETY FIRST: If you see sparks from tree limbs touching power lines and/or your power is out, don't use this form; call us at 888-223-0800.
