Redesigned Tampa Electric Website has New Look and Improved Customer Service

Tampa Electric is working to simplify our customers’ lives by enhancing digital technology to make doing business with us even easier.

Most noticeably, people will see an improvement when they visit www.tampaelectric.com. They can now find information faster and easier – thanks to a cleaner, modern look with a stronger focus on customers.

Based on input from customers, we revamped our website to help customers navigate quickly and intuitively. Customers will find:

  • A modern, uncluttered look that makes the online experience more engaging 
  • Streamlined access to important information, such as account information through our customer portal, savings programs and informative blog posts  
  • An overall easier and more-intuitive navigation experience   

“Our customers want more information at their fingertips – whether they are online at home on a computer, or on the go with a mobile device,” said Karen Sparkman, vice president of Customer Experience for Tampa Electric. “We listened to them. The new site is easier to use and will save them valuable time.”

Besides the recent website upgrade, we have several ongoing projects to optimize digital technology, making it easier to do business with us, including continued improvements to our interactive voice-response system, enhancements to the online outage map and the ability to set up preferences and alerts.

Customers will continue to have 24-hour online access to common services, such as:

  • Open an account or transfer service within the Tampa Electric service area
  • Report a power outage or set up convenient outage alerts
  • Order Zap Cap Systems® for power surge protection for home or business
  • Report a malfunctioning streetlight or area light
