We offer several options to help make your residential electric bill more manageable, including payment arrangements, bill assistance programs and free energy-saving programs that can help lower your energy costs.

Request extra time to pay your bill
Looking for a little more flexibility with your payment due date? Request a payment arrangement online and receive an immediate decision. If approved, you'll receive a new payment date that provides extra time to pay your bill.
Getting started is easy. Log in to your online account and select Payment Arrangement to complete the request. If you don't have an online account, you can register in just a few minutes with your 12-digit account number.

Assistance programs may be available to help with electric bill costs. Explore resources that offer bill payment assistance, bill credits and other forms of support.
TECO’s Share program
Our Share program helps connect qualifying customers with bill payment assistance that may reduce electric bill costs. Assistance is funded through contributions from customers, employees, community partners and matching shareholder support. Contact one of the community partner administrators below to learn about eligibility and available assistance.
LIHEAP (Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program) is a federal program that provides financial assistance with home energy costs for eligible Florida households with incomes from $32,155 to $85,335, depending on household size. Online applications are accepted on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

EHEAP (Emergency Home Energy Assistance for the Elderly Program) is a state program that helps Florida households with a resident age 60 or older pay home energy costs if household income is at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

Budget Billing
Budget Billing helps make your monthly electric bill more predictable by averaging energy costs over the year. You'll pay about the same amount each month, helping reduce seasonal bill changes and making monthly budgeting easier.
Due Date Plus
Due Date Plus helps customers on a fixed income by aligning their electric bill due date with Social Security, disability, retirement or other support payments. Qualified customers receive up to 52 days extra days to pay their bill.
Energy-Savings Programs
Explore energy-saving programs that can help you lower your monthly energy costs. Whether you're interested in rebates for home upgrades, bill credits or other savings opportunities, you'll find resources to help you get started.
Neighborhood Weatherization
Our Neighborhood Weatherization program helps qualifying customers lower energy costs by improving their home's energy efficiency. If you qualify, we'll install energy-saving upgrades and provide a free home energy audit.
