Each year during hurricane season, Tampa Electric partners with Meals on Wheels of Tampa to help prepare our community members who cannot leave their homes.

Thanks to our annual sponsorship, Meals on Wheels of Tampa delivers Hurricane Preparedness Packs at no cost to recipients during the month of May. Each package contains five shelf stable meals, water, bilingual brochures about storm shelters and other items that can help to sustain a homebound individual or senior citizen through a storm. These packs help Meals on Wheels recipients prepare for severe weather and provide peace of mind in case a meal delivery cannot be made during a storm.

Tampa Electric is proud to support a local organization that provides homebound seniors in Tampa Bay more than 1,000 daily hot, fresh and nutritious meals and as well as a visit from volunteers.
