Earn monthly bill credits just for enrolling
Earn automatic monthly bill credits when you enroll eligible equipment - such as your air conditioning – in Tampa Electric’s free Load Management program.
How It Works
Enroll eligible equipment in Tampa Electric’s free Load Management program and earn automatic monthly bill credits. We’ll install a small control device, and during rare periods of peak electric demand or electric system maintenance, enrolled equipment may be temporarily paused to help maintain reliable service for everyone. You'll earn monthly bill credits even if no power pause to enrolled equipment occurs. The load management option you choose determines how often and how long equipment may be paused.
Choose your option:
Cyclic (Seasonal)
Earn $5 per kW (April-October)
- Short, periodic power pauses to enrolled equipment (April through October only)
- Up to 7.5 minutes at a time
- No more than 30 minutes per hour
- Maximum of 3 hours per day
Example: If you have three air conditioners that use a combined 30 kW per month, you earn a $150 credit on your bill.
Extended (Year-Round)
Earn $5.50 per kW
- Longer pause periods to enrolled equipment year-round
- Up to 3 hours at a time
- Followed by at least 6 hours of normal operation
- Maximum of 6 hours per day
