Feeding Tampa Bay’s headquarters in Tampa offers convenient appointments for services that go far beyond food.

Mondays are busy at Feeding Tampa Bay.

People in need are coming in for help with everything from free groceries to legal services. Now, they can also speak with a Tampa Electric representative about assistance with their energy bill.

We’re honored to offer this customer care at Feeding Tampa Bay’s Community Place, a collection of services offered at the organization’s new Tampa headquarters. Here, our neighbors in need can find a quick-service restaurant, a grocery store and onsite connections to many social services.

From May 12, when we began our onsite utility bill assistance, through June 30, our customer assistance team met with 68 customers—many of them older adults who also attend “Senior Market Mondays,” a chance to grocery shop for essential fresh and frozen items.

The comprehensive services are much needed and much appreciated.

“People have burst into tears, overwhelmed with gratitude for the support they receive at Feeding Tampa Bay’s Community Place,” says Gerri Drummond, TECO’s customer experience social service supervisor.

Feeding Tampa Bay‘s Community Place offers an array of helpful services and resources, including Tampa Electric’s Customer Assistance Team.

On average, TECO’s customer service team meets with ten customers each Monday at this hub for community connection. Thanks to our dedicated team, our neighbors in need have received payment assistance, payment arrangements and targeted referrals to both onsite partners and other helpful agencies in the community.
