Local businesses say utility is a Trusted Business Partner
Thanks to strong relationships with local businesses, Tampa Electric was named a 2019 Trusted Business Partner, according to the Cogent Syndicated annual Utility Trusted Brand & Customer Engagement: Business study.

This year's study surveyed more than 12,500 customers of 78 of the nation's largest utility companies. Tampa Electric had the eleventh highest Brand Trust index score in the nation, and ranked sixth out of 24 of the south's largest utilities. Only the top 20 utilities with the highest Brand Trust index scores in the country are named Trusted Business Partners.
Tampa Electric, one of Florida's largest investor-owned electric utilities, serves about 765,000 customers in West Central Florida. Tampa Electric is a subsidiary of Emera Inc., a geographically diverse energy and services company headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
