Tampa Electric Co. Board Appoints New Member

The Tampa Electric Co. board of directors today appointed Jacqueline L. Bradley to the board, effective immediately. This board oversees both the company’s electric utility, Tampa Electric, and its natural gas utility, TECO Peoples Gas.

Bradley, who also serves on the board of Seacoast Banking Corp. of Florida (NASDAQ: SBCF), has extensive experience in the financial services industry, most recently as senior vice president leading SunTrust Banks’ Private Client Group. She previously served as vice president for Moody’s Investor Services and began her career at McKinsey Management Consultants in New York. She is also a board member of the Boys & Girls Club of Central Florida and the Studio Museum in Harlem.  She has a Bachelor of Arts, Economics and Political Science from Yale University, and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University.

“Jacqui brings a wealth of financial experience and will be a great addition to the Tampa Electric Co. board,” said Scott Balfour, chairman of the board. “We are delighted she is joining us.”

Tampa Electric, one of Florida’s largest investor-owned electric utilities, serves about 780,000 customers in West Central Florida. Peoples Gas System, Florida’s largest natural gas distribution utility, serves more than 400,000 customers across Florida. Tampa Electric Co. is a subsidiary of Emera Inc., a geographically diverse energy and services company headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
