    The Florida Conservation and Technology Center (FCTC) shows nature at its finest. FCTC is 500 acres of stewardship, research, habitat restoration, help for endangered species, education and fun from Tampa Electric, the Florida Aquarium and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
    • FCTC is also home to the Manatee Viewing Center and the Tom Hernandez Clean Energy Center.
      • The Manatee Viewing Center is a refuge for manatees in the winter months when they leave colder waters to return to their warm and welcoming second home. In 2023, the Manatee Viewing Center was selected as one of USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice travel awards for best free attractions.
      • The Tom Hernandez Clean Energy Center is an open-air shaded pavilion with fun interactive games powered by solar, wind and the grid that offers something for all your loved ones.
  1. TECO Event Giving Back Is Key
    For more than 120 years, Tampa Electric has been a strong community partner. Our company and team members typically donate about $2 million and volunteer nearly 30,000 hours annually. In 2022, we supported about 156 local events and worked with over 100 community organizations.

  2. Helping Our Neighbors in Need
    We partner with several organizations to help customers who may be experiencing temporary hardship. These include Metropolitan Ministries, Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, 211 Network, the Red Cross and our Share program. TECO's Share program helps customers in need pay their electric bills. The program is funded through the tax-deductible contributions of businesses, customers and community partners. To help those donations go even further, we match them dollar-for-dollar, up to $500,000. Please donate to our Share program and help us transmit feel-good energy!
