Please review the warranty specific to your surge protection equipment and contact the manufacturer. Tampa Electric does not process claims, however our representatives can offer suggestions and tips for filing a claim. Contact us at 877-787-4322.

Your primary unit*

If any non-electronic appliances or equipment and/or the primary unit installed behind your electric meter has been damaged from a high-voltage surge, please contact the primary unit manufacturer, Meter Treater, Inc., to initiate a claim.

Your plug-in protectors**

If any electronic equipment, directly connected to a plug-in protector(s) purchased from Tampa Electric, has been damaged by a high-voltage surge, please locate the manufacturer name located on the plug-in protector and call the appropriate manufacturer to initiate a claim. Note: Do not throw away the damaged plug-in unit.

Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)
The surge protection built into the UPS unit comes with a lifetime manufacturer's warranty for all devices properly plugged into the unit. Contact us for more details.
