Damaging power surges can be expensive. Zap Cap Systems Basic Package helps protect your major appliances with a meter-based surge protector and one plug-in protector to help protect your sensitive electronics.

Zap Cap also offers a Premium Package that includes the primary meter-based surge protector and an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) to help protect from surges and eliminate momentary outages and flickers that can affect your sensitive electronics. You can also choose to purchase a UPS separately.

How it works

Zap Cap Systems offers several options to protect your home. You can choose the Basic Package or safeguard and save more with the Premium Package. Or, you may opt to order Uniterruptible Power Supply (UPS) separately. 

Basic Package:

  • Zap Cap Systems Surge Protection: We’ll install a Zap Cap Systems surge protection primary unit at your home to protect your air conditioning system, dishwasher and other major, motor-driven appliances. The device is installed behind or near your electric meter. It absorbs a large amount of transient surges before they enter your home's wiring. The primary unit is owned and maintained by Tampa Electric and cannot be tampered with in any way.

The Basic Package includes:

  1. Surge protection primary unit and one multimedia home office plug-in protector
     $7.95 per month plus one-time installation charge
  2. You have the option to purchase additional, state-of-the art plug-in protectors to safeguard your sensitive electronics.

The monthly maintenance fee of $7.95, plus tax, is conveniently added to your electric bill to cover any unit upkeep or replacement. A one-time installation fee of $44.95 applies.

Package includes the following:

  • An annual inspection of your equipment upon request
  • Year-round, full-service maintenance on your equipment
  • Replacement of all damaged surge protection equipment
  • Manufacturers’ warranties for protected items

 

Premium Package:

Zap Cap Systems Premium Package: Bundle the Zap Cap Systems Basic Package with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) coverage and save! The cost to bundle is $15.95 per month (plus the one-time installation fee of $44.95).

Zap Cap Systems Basic Package: $7.95 monthly maintenance fee
Zap Cap Systems UPS coverage: $9.99 monthly maintenance fee
Bundle both: $15.95 monthly maintenance fee

When you bundle the Basic Package with UPS coverage you save $1.99 per month and gain peace of mind!

The Zap Cap Systems Premium Package cannot be ordered online.

Zap Cap Systems Uninterruptible Power Supply, if purchased separately:

If momentary outages or flickers threaten your wi-fi connection, computer equipment or other sensitive electronics, you can outfit your system with an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) that provides surge protection AND battery backup to isolated equipment.

A monthly maintenance fee of $9.99, plus tax, is conveniently added to your electric bill to cover any unit upkeep or replacement.

A one-time installation fee does not apply when an Uninterrupted Power Supply is purchased separately. 

Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) cannot be ordered online.
